Telkomsel cash (T-Cash) recently lauched by Telkomsel – the largest cellular operator in Indonesia – in Bali. Offering a breaktrhough in digital transaction era, T-Cash will reduce money circulation in the society. Hastining B. Astuti, the Telkomsel’s General Manager of Sales and Customer Service for Bali and Nusa Tenggara said “By using T-Cash we only need to bring along our handphone to ship. At the moment the facility is only IndoMaret supermarket network.”
T-Cash has so far got good market acceptance in Bali. Since the program launched three months ago, about 2,500 customers have registered with a total of 4,600 transactions. Accompanied by Head of Telkomsel’s Grapari in Denpasar Nurcahyo priyadi and Telkomsel’s Manager of Preferred Customer Management for Bali and Nusa Tenggara Jeffry Lesmana said the total transaction value was 353 million rupiah which is quite significant for such a limited penetration so far.
Whilst there is very limited shops currently has the facility – only 9 IndoMaret outlets – Telkomsel are confident that the number will soon significantly increase. At the end of the year Telkomsel offer eyar-end promo to T-Cash users.
The promo program is available between December 10th 2008 and January 10th 2009 when Telkomsel gives 10,000 rupiah discount for HartuHALO users and equivalent amount of credit injection for SimPATI and Kartu AS users. To be eligible for the offer customer has to make 50,000 rupiah transaction. Telkomsel also gives 20% discount for purchase of certain products at IndoMaret outlets and 10 Telkomsel Poins for a minimum shopping of 50,000 thousand rupuah and equivalent multiplication.
