Denpasar – The suspects, who abused and killed Sean Keith William, didn’t plan to kill the victim. Gde Alit Widana, the head of Denpasar Police Department, said “From the interrogation, it has been revealed that the suspects acted spontaneously and didn’t intend to kill Sean.”
The suspects beat Sean because he was raging and throwing bottles and glass in every direction. The suspects wanted to stop Sean but they went too far. The suspects include Andreas Seran, 20 years old and a national boxer, Aplonius Epson Tafui alias Doni, 39 years old, and Nengah Mustika, 34 years old, both of whom are Bounty Discotheque employees.
Widana said that there is enough evidence that shows that the suspects beat Sean to death. “The three of them are the main suspects, but they will each be charged with different punishments depending on their roles in the incident,” added Mr. Widana.
The incident that occurred on Saturday, April 14th 2009 started when Sean came to Bounty discotheque. He came to Mustika as the bartender and wanted to exchange his drink voucher. However, it was not the place to exchange the voucher and that enraged Sean.
Both of them exchanged words followed by fighting and a glass war. The other clubgoers also joined in on the flight, which escalated the situation. Andreas and Doni as the security officers in the discotheque tried to stop the riot, but ended up beating up Sean.
Shortly after, the police came to the scene and handled the situation. Then, Sean was taken to Sariyasa Samudra Hotel in Kuta where he was staying, but in the morning his wife found him dead.
Police officers sent the body directly to Sanglah hospital in order to determine the cause of death.
