Denpasar – Asia Pacific Travel Association (PATA) Malaysia chose to hold its conference outside their country. PATA Malaysia will hold a conference in Bali on July 10th through July 13th 2009.
The committee of the meeting consists of members of PATA Malaysia and Malaysia Tourism Board (MTB), who arrived in Bali on Sunday, May 24th 2009. The committee which was led by the Executive Committee PATA Malaysia, Fahmi Mubarak, was welcomed by the secretary general of PATA Bali and Nusa Tenggara, Ratna N Soebrata, in Wina Holiday Villa Hotel Kuta.
Mubarak said that the association chose to hold the conference in Bali because they wanted to study how Bali can attract tourists to visit the island. The fact is that there are 10 flights from Kuala Lumpur to Denpasar and they are always full.
“We also want to attract tourists to visit Bali. This has been the intention for a long time,” added Mubarak. The team from Malaysia conducted a discussion with the members of PATA Bali and Bali Tourism Board (BTB) on Monday, July 25th 2009.
The discussion was to talk about the preparation of the conference and business sessions of PATA Malaysia with the tourism industry in Bali. The team from Malaysia also will meet Bali’s Governor, Made Mangku Pastika.
