Denpasar – Bali Police Departement prepares all officers in order to guard the Presidential Election starting from the campaign kick off until the election and post election day. Gde Sugianyar, the head of the Public Relations Division in Bali’s Police department said, “We from the Bali Police Department are ready to preserve the security level during the presidential election.”
Bali Police Departement prepared 7,665 officers during the campaign and presidential election. The police departemnet held a ceremony to check the preparation for the election on Tuesday, June 9th 2009 in Aiptu Sutardjo Brimob in Tohpati, Gianyar.
I Gusti Ngurah Gunawan, the ehad of the Presidential Election Security Force, said that he already checked the personnel and gear that will be used during the election. “In preserving the security level during the presidential election, the police officers must be natural because the task is heavier than the one during the previous election,” he added.
In order to guard the president and vice president candidates, Bali Police Department prepared 26 officers for each couple. The first campaign period began on June 10th and will last through July 4th 2009, and the resting period will start on July 5th through July 7th 2009. Gunawan said, “The police officers should carry out their duties according to the proper rules in order to avoid any problems.”
