Four patients, who suspected from suffering swine flu, can return home from Sanglah hospital on Monday, July 6th 2009. The patients were Ryan Wood and Arron Michael from Australia, gerry O’Brian from Germany, and Brian Ariel Schargorodsky from Argentina.
I Gusti Lanang Suartana Putra, the head of medical Service divition in Sanglah hospital, said “based on the lab result from Jakarta, from the four patients, one of them was positevely suffered from swine flu and the other was negative. Arron Michael was the patient suffered from swine flu.”
However, in order to give the exact result, the laboratory in Jakarta conducted the examination one more time and the result didn’t arrive in Sanglah hospital yet. The patients can return home because from the examination result by the doctors, all of them had passed the incubation time and they all had received the proper treatment.
“The patients had been treated for eight days in the hospital and their condition had healed and getting better,” he added. On Saturday, July 4th 2009, there was another patient sent to Sanglah hospital.
Tracy Curd, a tourist from Australia, was sowing the symptoms of swine flu. Currently, there are four patients treated in Nusa Indah Isolation room in Sanglah hospital, they are Troels Munk from Denmark, Richard Clark from England, and Curd. The condition of the patients was gradually improving but they still must wait for the test result for the lab in Jakarta.
