Sanglah hospital in Denpasar still treated one swine flu patient. I Gusti Lanang Suartana Putra, the head of Medical Service divition in Sanglah hospital, said “currently, there is one patient left in the Nusa Indah isolation room. Four patients had returned home on Tuesday, July 7th 2009.”
The patient who is still being treated in the hospital was a tourist from New Zealand. The patient was sent to Sanglah hospital after treated in a private hospital in Denpasar. The patient was sent to Sanglah hospital on Wednesday, July 8th 2009 and was showing the symptoms similar to swine flu victim.
Generally, the condition of the patient is getting better but he still needs further treatment while waiting for the test results from Jakarta. The patients who returned home from the hospital were Troels Munk from Denmark, Richard Clark from England, Coreirra and Tracy Curd from Australia.
Lanang said “the patients had healed from the disease and the lab result also showed that they were no longer suffering from swine flu.” They also had passed the incubation period.
He also started that the tamiflu still very effective to cure the patient suffering from swine flu. Sanglah hospital had been treated nine swine flu patients and eight of them had healed and could return home.
