Sanglah hospital received four new patients suspected to suffer from swine flu disease on Monday, June 29th 2009. dr. Agus Somia, the head of Swine Flu Handling team, said “we received four foreigners suspected to suffer from swine flu.”
The patients were coming from the area infected by virus but they showed the symptoms of the disease after several days stayed in bali. The patients are Ryan Wood and Aaron Michael from Australia, Gerry O’Brian from Germany, and Brian Ariel Schargorodsky from Argentine.
Three of them had been traded before in a Private hospital in Bandung regency and the other came directly to Sanglah hospital. “Currently, the patients are treated in isolation room Nusa Indah in Sanglah hospital,” added Somia.
The patients had been treated according to the procedure such as giving Tamiflu medicine and the throat specimens had been sent to the laboratory in Jakarta. Somia said “we are still waiting the test result from the lab.”
While the two patients suffered from swine flu Bobie Masoner and George Goltman from Australia can return home because they already heal from the virus and the test results showed that they were no longer infected by the swine flu virus.
