Bali Governor, Made Mangku Pastika, said that the expansion of Ngurah Rai Airport should emphasize on the safety and comfort of the passengers. “We hope that security become the priority in developing the airport. The security check should be started from the entrance door,” he added.
The governor supported the development of the airport because it could make the passengers using the airport become more comfortable. However, the governor expected that the development use Balinese architecture.
Pastika said “we expect there will be several Balinese ornaments so the tourists coming to the airport will know the beautiful art and culture of Bali.” Meanwhile, Heru Legowo, the Genaral Manager of Angkasa Pura I, said that the development will cost 5 billion rupiah and it will start in November.
“There is great hope that by the development on Ngurah Rai Airport, the passengers will become more comfortable in the airport,” he added.
