Bali Police Department hasn’t detect any sign on terrorists entering Bali. Gede Sugianyar, the spokesman of Bali Police Department, said “we didn’t detect any terrorists entering Bali after bomb explosions several years ago.”
In order to anticipate the the terrorists from entering Bali, the police department had spread agents throughout Bali. The security level is also being maintained in the highest level is also being maintained in the highest level for the similar purpose.
The tight security applied in the entrances to Bali such as in Gilimanuk harbor in Jembrana and Padangbai harbor in Karangasem. The tight security will increase the safety of the people in Bali especially after Indonesian Police announced the data inside the notorious terrorist, Noordin M Top’s laptop. In the laptop, Noordin stated that Bali was their next bombing target because the island visited by many foreigners.
Sugianyar said “in the raid in Solo on September 17th 2009, Noordin was killed but his followers still wondering around in Indonesia. He even had recruit people from other countries to spread his network.”
That is why the security must be applied at all time. Bali was struck by two bomb blasts. The first one was on October 12th 2002 which killed 202 people and injured 350 others. The second bomb explosion happened on October 1st 2005 which killed 23 people and hundreds people injured.
