The beauty of Bali and its rich cultural attractions still make Bali the top destination for tourists who want to spend their Christmas and New Year holidays.
According to information that gathers in Ngurah rai Airport, these days the domestic tourists and foreigners who visit Bali are stable. There is no increasing numbers but the Assistant of PT. Angkasa Pura I Public Relations Muhammad Dimyati said that the numbers will increase near the Cristmas holiday. He roughly said that the tourists’ number will increase to 15,000 per day.
There will be an increase around 10 – 15 percent of total tourits who visit Bali this year comparing to the same period last year.
“Even though the trend is increasing, there will be no additional staffs at Ngurah Rai Airport. But there will be more shifts and working hours to all the staffs,” explained Dimyati.
Base on his explanation, there will be a special stand that will organize all the traffics at Ngurah Rai Airport during Christmas and New Year 2010.
He also added that some airlines are adding aircrafts to accommodate the increasing numbers of visitor to Bali. “I heard that Malaysia Airlines is one of airlines that want to increase their route to Bali from two times a week to three times a week. But I still don’t have their formal request yet, only the oral information,” he said.
