The crimes which happen to the foreign tourists could give bad image on tourism in Bali. Perry Markus, the secretary of Hotels and Restaurants Association (PHRI) Bali, said “crimes such as robbery or sexual assault will give negative impact to Bali as one of the famous tourist destination in the world.”
Perry hope that security officers such as police and local security to increase their awareness so the crime can be prevented. “The crimes which happen on foreigners will affect tourism so everyone must pay attention and act to prevent and decreased the crime,” he added.
Lately, the crimes happned to tourists staying in villas or small hotels because the security system is not as good as the large ones. Perry urged all hotels in villas to increase the security level especially near the year end when usually the tourists are increasing greatly.
In addition to the crimes, the brawl in clubs or bars also often happen in Bali and it made the tourists terrified. In order to anticipate those problems, all elements including the society must increase their awareness so Bali still attract tourists and visited by them.
