Tourism, handicrafts and cultural exhibition is being held in Ksirarnawa, Art Center Denpasar for three days started on December 11th through December 13th 2009. The exhibition is joined by many provinces in Indonesia which is divided into 38 stands.
Yudhi Irsyadi Syafii, one of the committees and the Director of PT Patria Convexindo, said “the exhibition is held to promote Indonesian products and services and the same time.”
In 2009, the similar exhibition was already held in seven cities in Indonesia, Batam, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Bali.
“In this exhibition, we invite all businessmen especially in the tourism business but the one from other areas such as government company can also take part,” Yudhi added.
There is great hope that by the strategic exhibition place, more people will buy the products. Every stands offers interesting products such as the one from eastern Kalimantan, western Sumatra, and Yogyakarta which offer batik, sandals, and accessories. The sales target is up to 200 million rupiah.
Meanwhile, IGN Eddy Mulia, the secretary II of Denpasar Government, said that the similar events must be held continually especially in Bali because Bali is one of the famous tourism destination which visited by many tourists.
“The attraction many tourists will come to the exhibition and Art Center already well known by the tourists,” he added. In addition to the exhibition, there are also others events held by Denpasar Government this month such as the 2nd Gajah Mada Festival which is started on December 28th through December 31st 2009.
There is great hope that the events will attract more tourists visited Denpasar because usually most of the tourists only come to the well known tourism site such Ubud or Kuta.
