A number of entrance tickets at the tourist objects in Gianyar Regency will experience a price increase this year. This plan was revealed by the revised regional regulations concerning with the discussion performed at the level of Gianyar House. The reason for the raising of ticket prices was to boost the regionally generated revenue (PAD) at every tourist object in Gianyar Regency in 2010.
The information obtained, last Sunday (Jan 17), the price of entrance ticket to tourist objects in Gianyar Regency would be validated from swimming pool on the Bukit Jati hilltop area, Goa Gajah and some other tourist objects. The planning to increase the ticket prices at those tourist objects was confirmed by a member of Gianyar House from Sanding, Tampaksiring, Wayan Tagel Winarta. The increase being discussed in the Gianyar House considered the current price of ticket to tourist objects in Gianyar remained low in comparison to that of other regions, such as Tabanan and other areas.
Even, according to a member of Commission D of Gianyar House, I Nyoman Arjawa, the increase just had to wait for the decision. The increase of ticket price would be validated for entrance to Bukit Jati swimming pool, namely for children at IDR 3,000 (remain the same), while for adult from IDR 6,000 to IDR 7,500. The increase of IDR 1,500 would be alocated for insurance premium (IDR 1,000) and the remaining became revenue of regional revenue. Then, for Goa Gajah tourist object would be IDR 7,500 from IDR 6,000 for children and to IDR 15,000 from IDR 10,000 for adult, he explained.
Arjawa said that policies to raise the ticket price of some tourist objects in Gianyar would not to become a burden to visitors. Other than due to not too significant, such amount remained to be standard as that of other regions. “The increase in ticket prices to tourist objects will be accompanied by an increase in services, and improvement of facilities, resulting in a balance between the increases in admission and the facility at the objects,” he said.
