Badung government today, after the inauguration of their capitol city, Mangupura, has their hand full of an effort to designing and arranging Mangupura physical appearance. They viewed the capitol city of Badung still has improper face in addition to the Badung predicate as the richest regency in Bali. Tourists Length of Stay Drooped Again

The decrease of tourists’ length of stay haunted tourist development in Badung. Their trend for short stay in Bali feared could reduce the number of local income. The data showed that length of stay at 8.32 percent or averagely seven to eight days only. This number get decrease in which 2009 it only reached ten days. Bali Governor Firmly Rejected Pornography Bill

A new Bill regarding Pornography and Porno action law as it is poured in UU No. 44 2008 is firmly rejected by Bali Governor, Made Mangku Pastika. The island could not implemented that Bill since the law contradicting the sociological and philosophic values in Bali. This statement is conveyed when Pastika held a dialogue session with Komponen Rakyat Bali (KRB) – Component of Balinese People – who visited his office on Thursday (March 25). Villa Management in Badung Planted Rare Plant

Plantation event conducted by the management of The Patra Bali Resort & Villas in Badung Regency, Bali, on Friday succeeded planted 100 rare plants. The even was attended BRegent, AA Gde Agung. Those rare plants are maja, donation from ABDI BUMI foundation lead by Made Iwan Dewantama. Besides maja, there is also majegau, badung, mundeh, gatep and sentul. The event conducted in order to preserving and balancing the life as a reflection for one attitude for his company consistency to support environment preservation and protecting Bali ecosystem and history. 2011; Gianyar Still Focusing on Physic Development

Physic or infrastructure development seems still become the priority in Gianyar 2010 budgetary and expense planning. It is due to the most of priority suggestion comes from every villages when there was a districts meeting conducted concerned about physic development. From 280 suggestion of seven districts and 70 villages, the main demand fell to physic development, followed by social, economic and governmental. Thus made the forum meeting of Satuan Kerja Perangkat Daerah (SKPD) Gianyar – working unite area device – held on Wednesday (March 24) yesterday, decided for four groups which will spend Gianyar government 2011 Regional Budgetary Expense. Nusa Penida Rare Seaweed Preservation

Spinosum seaweed flourish in Nusa Penida waters in fact is a rare aquatic plant species that in Indonesia could only growth in this area only. Nusa Penida, a small island located around ten mile to the south east part of Bali has beach area known as spinosum museum, that is a rare seaweed species in the world. According to the local farmers, number of researcher from IPB Bogor or from faculty of agricultural Udayana University and as far as from foreign university, they usually mentioned that spinosum is a rare species. Those researchers confessed their grateful feeling for kind of rare plant could flourish at Nusa Penida beach area as this area hardly ever visit either by people or tourist. National Exam held all around Indonesia went into a mess in Bali. Most problem occur was incompatibility between the content with the booklet title was not same. Another problem is the answer sheet. There is lack of number for answer sheet supply so they are force to copied it. This make they achieved 10 to 20 minutes interval awaiting for the answer sheet. This mess made Provincial Government trauma. The government then send their protest letter to the Percetakan Negara Republik Indonesia (PNRI) National Publisher of Indonesian Republic centralized in Jakarta. Badung area can be considered as the most famous tourist destination in Bali or even in Indonesia. This regency has lots of tourism accommodation still this area did not have any management organization yet such as Perhimpunan Hotel dan Restauran Indonesia (PHRI). Lot parties viewed it as an unfortunate condition based upon PHRI role to build tourism sector. Then, a pressure for PHRI Badung to soon develop begins to raise. For all along, PHRI Badung merely has Plt head with limited space and development. PHRI has a very important role. It could manage hotel and restaurant standard and leads to no tariff war.
